Mr Stock
I traded this old Johan 69 AMX from a friend of mine (thanks Tommy), despite the look of it in the before photos it was a proper glue bomb and was a bit of a mess. First task after stripping it down was to repair the chassis which had broke in two...I did this trying to remove it. I did a bit of work on the body, the door shut lines were filled and rescribed and the original glass sanded and polished to look as good as I could get it. The bumpers front and rear were stripped and repainted with Spazstix mirror chrome, I used wheels from the parts box and painted the interior with cheap craft acrylics and embossing powder for the carpet. Body was painted with Halfords rattle can paint, buffed and polished.....no lacquer. It turned out great and I'm very happy with it, apart from finding out afterwards that the kit engine is wrong.....its an older AMC 327....oh well nevermind. El Caballo
A family friend bought one of these new and still has it. I remember it as a little kid and it was the trippiest thing I remember seeing at the time. Edited December 11, 2017 by El Caballo
