Drag racing parts sources?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have been away for a while and drag racing is not exactly my area of expertise.

Any good sources for drag racing parts? Wheels, tires (slicks and front),  hood scoops, parachute packs etc.

I have some modern subject ideas I'd like to try.

Thanks,

I have found several sources of 3D printed parts on Shapeways.com.  One advantage is you can choose what scale you want - 24th or 25th scale.  I have found good products through 3D Model Specialties, TDR Innovations, and Maple Leaf Modelworks.  You can search for them by name or "vehicles 1:24" or "vehicles 1:25" depending on the scale you want.

Check the Car Aftermarket / Resin section on this forum. There is a list of many suppliers of parts and many specialize in Drag Racing. Since you're not in the continental US shipping may be expensive, but other than looking for Drag Racing kits to strip for parts it might be a good place to start.

I've ordered parts from Ted's Modeling Marketplace several times. I also live outside the USA but shipping has never been a problem when dealing with Ted. The service is fast and shipping charges are fair, which is often not the case when watching the eBay... Plus that he has lots of good parts and accessories in stock. I have only good things to say about that place, highly recommended.

X2 on dealing with Ted. As another who lives well outside the USA I'd have no hesitation to recommend him. My orders have been filled quickly and arrived well packed.
