Belugawrx
Picked this one up from our own.. Randy D.. , and started it right away,... because I don't have a Ferrari ,red or otherwise, in my cabinet ,..yet FUJIMI's Enthusiast model"s have always intrigued me, I tried one many years ago (BMW something, something, something) many, many small parts.... Steering wheel still lives in my spare parts cabinet,..anyway... Got the engine into shape,... mostly just paint, and washes and some drybrushing and some store bought Ignition wires the transmission was a 10 pc. horror of uneven molds etc. etc., you need to be an enthusiast to build it ... and I am beginning to see the benefits of soldering your own frame works,.. anyway, I liked the engine so much, I am going to display it out of car,.. the kit rubber was a bit small to my eye (not supposed to be in yer eye????) parts pack After Alclad white filler primer, first coat of ,....Duplicolor,(close to Ferrari Red Corsa onfire ah)* *warmed in a pot of hot water* 2nd coat *warmed in a pot of hot water* 3rd *warmed in a pot of hot water* More to follow Cheers and... Merry Christmas
DiscoRover007
Very nice work. Kudos for getting that kind of finish with Duplicolor in this kind of weather. Here in NC Duplicolor fogs horrible unless it’s summer time.

Twokidsnosleep
Nice project, have always loved the Dino's shape Even on this coast of Canada it is hard to spray with the window open for the vent tube...brrrrrrr
vintagercr
Bruce, nice detail on the engine, look forward to seeing the finished shots
DiscoRover007
I bought the Dino targa version last year and to my disappointment I learned it was curbside. How you figure out which kit has the enthusiast engine parts or not?
Belugawrx
It usually says Enthusiasts Model right on the box....

Belugawrx
Thank you Jason, Scott, Stev, Erik, Gabor,... Fujimi wise ...Hmm ,..I don't know check with Randy @ modelbuilderswh.com in USA @bestbalsakits.com in Belguim or @Elmcityhobbies East Coast Canda @Dundas Valley Hobbies Niagara GTA area I always build the engine first and lay alot of detail in it,.. this tends to takes the viewer's eye away from the rest of the build,,. Went with the Deep Grey suede, but, it has faded... Bright work and glass,.... next
DustyMojave
When these Ferraris were new, I used to see drag racer Don Prudhomme on the street (he lived near me) in his red Dino (license plates "Snake1") and his wife in a Yellow one (license plates "Snake2"). Myself...I have one...or at least one of the Weber carburetors for one...in my off road race buggy you see in my avatar. It won a championship for me to prove it was fast. You're doing nice work here Bruce.

Randy D
Hello Bruce, Doing a mighty fine job with this one my friend !!!! I do love the E. M. kits but they do try your patience with having to clean up over 200 parts:) I swear that every round part has 4 mold seams ! Great looking motor that I will use for reference when I build mine that is going in a curbside Lancia. Randy
