Muncie Posted January 17, 2018 Share Posted January 17, 2018 (edited) a couple of thoughts - checkout the aftermarket sleeper boxes at AITM - http://aitruckmodels.com/product-category/model-truck-parts/sleep-boxes/ Most sleepers on an LN8000 race would be from the aftermarket - either factory or dealer installed. I don't believe Ford had one and on a custom race car hauler anything goes anyway. The installer would modify the back of cab to fit. They always struck me as being different from the ones commonly seen on Kenworths & Peterbilts, but more rounded that the ones on IHs. I didn't want to use something identifiable as a Peterbilt or Kenworth unit. I made mine a crawl through, I didnt look to see if a walkthrough was available. Ben Posted January 19, 2018 Share Posted January 19, 2018 The sleeper I used for my 76 LTL9000 conversion kit, (like the red and white LTL9000 brochure pic above), comes from the AMT Peterbilt 359 kit. The third issue with a slightly flat top and rounded roof edges. Ford did not produce any sleepers so any aftermarket sleeper would be acceptable.
