junkyardjeff
Going to rebuild it as a non police car with the six from the Mobieus F100 to make a base custom granny car,can not understand why this would have a boss 429 since they were never installed from the factory in the full size car. If I can not make the six fit without major modification I will find a 302 to put in it,never seen a six in a 69 or 70 but seen them in 68s. THarrison351
Well, the full size Fords used the 240 six which is the same engine as the truck so if the scale is correct, it should fit.
montelsc
They had 429 s because they were interceptor police cars mainly for highway use not sold to the public strictly police

The kit was originally a 1970 LTD dealer promo, then sold as a curbside kit as part of the Motor City Stocker series. The Boss 429 engine was added when it was converted to the Galaxie Police car. I'm pretty sure that engine was taken from some other kit tooling to save money and used because it fit the chassis. I think the 428 was the top Police engine that year. -Steve

junkyardjeff
That six is just too tall so its going to get a 302,I had trouble with it fitting in the truck so it got a 302 too
