Would anyone happen to have a spare Heavenly Hearse Cadillac body shell and rear bumper? I ruined mine on a misguided conversion years ago and now I want to restore it.

Bump. 4/25/18

I'm still looking for a Johan 66 Cadillac hearse body. Just the body - actually, I only need the bottom half of the body - everything below the top of the door line or the body from below the vinyl roof area. So if you have a junker body with this area intact - I'm interested in it.

I just received a complete ambulance in trade (thanks Dr. Kerry), but it's too nice to cut up to restore my hearse. So that's going to stay an ambulance.

Let me know what you're looking for in trade. I'll try my best to help you out.

you can use the Johan ambulance body to build a window hearse or use flat styrene to fill the rear quarter windows, I have done both. Google Miller Meteor hearse to get an idea of the different styles they made.

Either way, I'd need a replacement body, and both aren't easy to find nowadays.

I cut up my old one to make a model of the hearse that carried Elvis at his funeral. I ruined 2 Johan Cadillacs and found out it looked nothing like it. Oh well.

Red parts are the 79 Coupe Dee. I used the front and rear bumpers on something else. The rest of the hearse is still useable. I just need the body from the window line down. 20180428_172102.thumb.jpg.8e754023863403cbeee201429cb435a1.jpg

I have a "Heavenly Hearse", But I wanted to just swap you Body for Body. but your's has just too many modification's to it.

I could probably fix most of it, but the front fender's  are just all wrong for what I need.

If you had some  66 - 67 fenders and hood , I could work with it. But I know, if you had all that .... you wouldnt need a new body.

Sorry if I got your "hope's " up.

I do have the fenders and hood, but like you said, the body has a lot more modifications than that. That's why I just wanted to get a new bottom half and start fresh. Thanks for at least trying for me.

The sides of the body have the wrong details and the roof is too rounded to match Elvis'. I would still like to do it, but I think I would have to start completely over from another junker. Or maybe this junker if I find another body to fix the original hearse.

I see flaws in my original idea. The rear fender fins should go in a straight line under the windows...

Not dipped like this...

And the roof has too much crown, it should be more squared off like this...elvis_presley_s_hearse.jpg.8734e379c4e1a6f53807b106d0b822b4.jpg

Not this....

The fuel filler door is supposed to be on the side, not in the back like the 66 has. Plus, I'm not sure if the interior is correct or not. I haven't found any interior shots yet.

I'll keep looking, maybe if a junker comes up with a bad roof and a decent lower body, I'll make the roof swap and continue to tweak the bad parts of the Elvis car to correct the errors. I'll really have to do a lot of bodywork to the roof of this to fix that crown. I'd just rather work with a damaged roof than butcher this one anymore.

Either way, I'm looking to save this roof to use on a restoration.
