Paranormal Activity On My FB Page

Recommended Posts

I checked my neighborhood's FB page about 20 minutes ago and saw something that made the hairs on my neck stand on end. I was looking at my "Contact" list and saw my friend Lynne Merrill's name on it. I grabbed a screenshot just in case it was some type of glitch and would eventually clear up. I just refreshed the page and she's still there as of this moment. If you take a look at her name, in the red box, there's a green dot on the right which means she's signed on.

The only problem is that Lynne passed away four years ago.

Maybe a son or daughter is using her account?

She never married and had no living relatives. Weird, man.

Could be that she's listed as a voter like they do in Chicago?

It wouldn't take four years to settle an estate in many cases.  I went through that with my mom's estate a couple of years ago, it took little more than one year.

If I were on Facebook, I'd dump it.

I posted the screenshot on the nabe page and nobody else who was her friend has her in their contact list. I need to get in touch with William Friedkin.

Maybe someone is using her old computer.

My wife has a FB account, I never have. She hasn't been on FB through this computer in about two years (she uses her phone now). We have separate user accounts/logins on this computer. We can't see each others' emails, favorites lists, etc. But if/when someone posts a FB link, I can click on it, and it shows right up and shows me logged in as my wife.

You beat me to it!  Zuckerturd is in deep doodoo, so no wonder this is happening.

Rich, that doesn't explain why, except for me, nobody else who was her friend sees her on their lists.

Lotta dead people seem to be able to vote, so what's to keep 'em offa social media?  ;)

Oops. I see Nick made a similar comment hours earlier. Never mind.   Image result for red-faced small smiley

Okay, you win. She's haunted (or perhaps reincarnated as) your computer, then.

What's with the eyeroll? If she doesn't pop up on her other friends' contact lists, but only on mine, that is beyond odd. If her account was accessed and logged in, she'd appear on other people's lists too; but, she doesn't.

That IS pretty weird.

I got nothin'. So far, all the dead people I know have stayed dead.

Weird but I seriously doubt that it has anything to deal with the paranormal.

First a screen shot means nothing for all we know its been photoshopped.

Another possibilty is some one is playing a practical joke on you.

There is a rational explanation for what you are seeing.

If someone was playing a joke, everybody who was on her friends list would see the same thing.

I PMed her just to see what would happen. Still waiting for a reply. Maybe she could give me the winning numbers for the next big Mega-Millions drawing.  :D

This reminds me of the Twilight Zone episode "Night Call":

I already did that. The last activity on her page was on May 26, 2014, two months before she died from Stage 4 cancer. Like I pointed out before, this can't be a gag because everybody else who was "friended" by her would see her in the contacts list on the right side of the page. Nobody who was her friend on the "Greenpoint Natives" page sees her. I refreshed the page but Lynne keeps hanging around.

Still don't buy it. Either a computer issue or hoax. Think you need to change the batteries in your bogus meter.
