Mr. Horsepower Posted March 25, 2018 Share Posted March 25, 2018 I'm sure there was a "how to" posted at some point, but I cant find any information on the basics of lowering the suspension on old Monogram NASCAR kits. Dave Van Posted March 25, 2018 Share Posted March 25, 2018 80's era Ford Thunderbird kits...I trim the springs and this lowers car. 80's era GM kits do not have springs rather solid posts. Silver Foxx Posted March 25, 2018 Share Posted March 25, 2018 Sir , you asked about my Kulwicki Ford . I trim the rear springs down a bit . At the front I remove the stub axle , trim the surface flat and glue on a thin piece of upright oval shaped plasticard painted the same colour as the front end . With the body on I then glue the inner hub of the rim onto this plasticard and as the glue sets I can place the wheels in the right spot , this also helps to get all four wheels on the deck . Forgot to add that.....I would just remove the 'bar' at the bottom between the two shocks and mount each shock to the lower control arm. Does anyone have a copy on their computer at all. That would be awesome if there was a way to still read this.
