It had the tilt away steering and that was something else right there. All in all I had 3 different 67 Mustangs, all of 'em coupes. Man I miss driving those cars. Lots and lots of fun. One of these days I'd like to get another classic ride but dang they're getting more and more expensive as the time passes. I intend to cut the rear of the body so we can lift it off. Added a piece of angle tothe top of the bulkhead to support it. That scoop doesn't look half bad. landman Posted May 8, 2018 Author Share Posted May 8, 2018 (edited) Installed the half shafts. Â This is what I think I'll use for the exhaust pipes. I have yet to heatbend styrene successfully. I was hoping to bend to fit and wrap it with string that I would paint flat white to mimic asbestos wrapping. Â Yet, I managed to get these two 90's without too much kinking. afx Posted May 8, 2018 Share Posted May 8, 2018 (edited) Great project Pat. I use solid rod in lieu of tubing when I have to create a shape. Bend it in my fingers or use round needle nose pliers then set the shape of the bend over a candle. Large diameter like you are using might require heating to bend without breaking. A while back I had bought a Chevy Ilmor Indy engine and it had its suspension parts. Used some if that here for visual interest. landman Posted May 22, 2018 Author Share Posted May 22, 2018 (edited) Began adding details & stuff. Made taillights with half round. Headlights are from Scale production and turn signals are truck clearance light lenses. Tried to hide the old glue by painting the surrounds of the glass pieces black. One headlight cover will be homemade, the original having disappeared. Added the dash and a KFS PE wiper.
