'58 Edsel mild custom

Started on the Edsel! Actually I worked on what parts I had until the body arrived..... Here's what I've done to the interior, and a pic of the wheels I'm using...

So far on the body, I've removed the scripts and the door locks, and the chrome trim down the top of the fenders........

Plan is dark blue over the light blue interior....

Hey, Guys...... I thought of maybe trying the light blue in the scallops and rear panel, but that paint is enamel and I usually use DupliColor clear which won't work over Krylon. I have some acrylic clear, but I'm not "used" to using it..............

Working on getting the body ready for final primer today..........

Thanks!

Thanks, Marty!....... I've got the body in final primer..... also have the engine pretty much done...... I'll wait until I have enough clear to do everything before I spray any paint. I like to paint and clear in the same day, while I'm "in the groove".....

Got some paint on! This paint job didn't go as swimmingly as I hoped it would.... I got bad orange peel in the second clear coat and had to wet sand that out, then applied one more coat of clear.

I hope it's acceptable for you guys!

I usually won't paint two consecutive models the same color, but that's just how it worked out......

Thanks...........

The foil job looks good and makes the model POP. Dark colored models never seem to show as well in photos as they do in person. What color did you use ?? I think mid to dark blues look almost as good as a black on a model.
