I could say a whole book about those 2 cars. But my mother taught me that if you can't say anything nice, say nothing.

So...

Hasta later guys.

Ain't that the truth??

Well, it is clearly built as a show car. It probably runs, but looks to be extremely unsafe to take down the track (poor vision). Extreme show cars can sometimes be used as test mules for engineering ideas. Perhaps someone will see a better way to do something from this car. What that might be, I have no idea.

  • Dave Ambrose changed the title to What in the Sam Hill

I liked the old PFG (Pro FairGrounds) days. Excess for excess' sake. More show art than performance car. The mustang is a bit much, but to me that is the point. Three blowers and twin turbos make a very cool obstruction.

Who remembers the 8 turbo 57? Another bundle of fun.

Or you can go waayyyyy back to this Alison powered Chevelle Ed Wood built and drove on the streets. He also did a twin engine streeter.

Fun stuff.

From a modeling perspective it can get even better. Here is one of my favorites by Mike Turk. Four engines, four rear tires, dual chain drive. Completely non functional in real life, but a fun exercise as a model. Also a good way to use up those extra sprint car parts after robbing the one big rear tire.

OK, I'm done.  : )

There used to be a saying "All show and no Go" A lot of money was spent to turn a great car into something that is shinny but no longer useful.

Agreed. As a whole, show only cars are ridiculous to me. Once you take the functionality away from a vehicle it's just wasted time, money and materials.
