1/12 Tamiya Datsun 240ZG

My build of the 1/12 Tamiya Datsun 240ZG.  This is an older build I did to showcase a product.  I did a complete build journal more focused on the kit and thought everyone might enjoy it.  For it's age, the kit is amazing.  There's too many images to post them here so you'll be viewing them on my website (hope this is ok).  Enjoy the build.

Very nicely built Jim... and in 1:12 scale this is a really clean looking model. Had a look at your website, great set of wheels for this car and superb engine detail too. Used to follow the Ford Escorts and Lotus Cortinas in UK rallying, and I seem to remember there being some Datsun 240Z rally cars that performed well against the mighty Fords at that time. Red has to be the best colour for these Datsuns, as with most Ferraris.

Smooooooth paintjob! Did you polish it or is that straight from the sprayer?

Superb build-very sharp,   my only critique is-should there be some bright work trim around windows??.   Otherwise its FANTASTIC.

I agree and thanks.  The issue is the front and rear window moldings are made of a flexible material so painting was out.  I thought about thin strips of BMF but decided to stick with the blacked out theme.  The flexible moldings are an interesting design choice but having them as part of the body would have allowed more options.
