oldcarfan
I finished one of my favorite kits from childhood! It's the Monogram 1/24th curbside from the 70s. I've bought several of these on eBay and actually have a couple more on the way. I've also started collecting other 911s as I find good deals. I bought a bunch of the Monogram full detail kits when HL did their clearance on them and I have a few Tamiya versions and one of the Fujimi ones (yikes) waiting in the wings. Anyway this one is built boxstock as a baseline. The color is Krylon Citrus Green which is similar to one of the mid 70s Porsche colors. I have other versions in mind for the future. (Note, I realized that I left the exhaust off and the license plate is crooked. Those will be fixed soon. Right now I'm just happy to finish something. 89AKurt
I built that last century! It was before the other kits came out, so I was stoked. I also did the race version. I converted one to use an Estes AA rocket motor, took off across the parking lot really well, but then it sort of crashed, and survived. I have the full detailed Fujimi kit, maybe next century I'll build it. But you finished this, the color stands out!
