SfanGoch
The U.S. Army celebrates its 243rd birthday today. As the oldest and most senior branch of the U.S. military in order of precedence, the modern U.S. Army has its roots in the Continental Army, which was created by the Second Continental Congress on 14 June 1775 to fight the American Revolutionary War, with George Washington appointed as its commander—before the United States of America was established as a country. For 243 years, the U.S. Army has bravely answered the call to protect and defend the United States of America. Semper Primus. Jim N
Thanks for sharing the information Joe. Having an all volunteer military, we are very fortunate to have men and women who are willing to make the supreme sacrifice to defend the rest of us. OldTrucker
My Grandson was in the run at Ft Leonard Wood Thursday. With the help of a big magnifying glass we were able to spot him in the video he posted! He is a Combat Engineer.(recently graduated) He is stuck there while he awaits orders. SfanGoch
Lots of respect and appreciation for 12 Bravos. We (11B Infantry) used to call them grunts with graders.
