Ironman63
I ran across this today and found it interesting. I thought I would share. http://driving.ca/chevrolet/auto-news/entertainment/the-9-mid-engine-corvette-concepts-chevrolet-almost-built
Len Woodruff
Thanks Mark. Great history lesson on the rear engined Corvette Concept cars.
iamsuperdan
And it looks like it is actually happening this time. Expect it in 2020.
Speedfreak
The mule above (the general shape) looks nice, even though you can't see it all I already like it more than the versions that didn't get built. Looks like a real super car.
Motor City
I liked the '73 version. The mule resembles the original 1960s Ford GT40, and that's a good thing!
iamsuperdan
The new one seems very Ferrari-like to me. Definitely a long enough wheelbase to fit that next gen LS V8 they're working on.
Ace-Garageguy
The '64 CERV II will always be the pick of the litter for me. Built on a full monocoque chassis, and running a 377 cu.in. all aluminum SOHC, Hilborn-injected smallblock-based engine, plus 4WD split through two, two-speed transaxles, it was a very sophisticated piece. With a zero-to-sixty time of 2.8 seconds, and a top end of around 210, the performance was spectacular for its time period.

When I was a kid, I had a subscription to Hot Rod magazine and Popular Hot Rodding. One of them did a piece on the CERV ll. I remember being totally amazed at the 0-60 time! Sold recently?
