Jay
I recently completed this build up of Tamiya's new AMG Mercedes kit. Tamiya finish with Slotfabrik decals.

allis200
Looks great. How are their decals to work with?

They are insanely thick and do not react at all with decal solvents. They are designed for slot cars so they are tough. High heat makes them more pliable, but they still have trouble over seams and curves... especially the roof. I assume this is due to multiple layers of ink. bbowser
Great looking model. I'm confused by the stars & stripes on a German car? But then I don't follow this type of racing.
mike 51
^^^^^^^^ Probably American owned...look closer some of the drivers are Americans too.

We have a FB group that started out as a tribute to this new model from Tamiya and to help kick it off we had a build contest. People entered a pic and the members of the group voted. Well, this car won. Congrats again Jay. Bill, the car is German but the car is run by Riley Motorsports out of the US in the IMSA Weather Tech Sports Car series. At Watkins Glen last year this car ran with the US flag on the roof and the sister car ran with a full Stars and Stripes livery for July 4th weekend. See Wayne's build here in the completed section for the sister car. Again, nice job Jay.
