54 Chevy Sedan Delivery

Recommended Posts

Built this some time back. Tried to make it a little more like a real vehicle.

Used the 6 cylinder out of the Monogram 53 Belair kit

Did my best to make the taillights look like the 54's stock lights.

Such a realistic looking build. I like the understated look, very believable delivery truck. The little detail touches, like the Chevrolet script under the rear window and the dash add to the look. I have herd so much negative said about this kit, but this look great.

Sweet looking build !! you did a great job adding the crome to the head/ taillights, makes it look so much better.

Easily the best build I have ever seen of this kit.  I have a twenty -year-stalled project of one of these - this inspires me to have another look at it.  Like John said, the head and tail light detail transforms it. Simply superb!

Cheers

Alan

Great work on the headlamps and tail lights. That's one BIG pitfall of these kits.

Can't remember ever seeing a nicer build of this problematic kit. Your improvements made all the difference.

I agreed with these guys, this is very well done.  Not an easy kit to make look good, first time I built this kit was in 1975 never looked like this.

Nice build.  Good job making it look factory stock.  I wished Revell released a factory stock version of this kit and the sedan.

I agree with the others, a very nicely done one this. I tried to do something similar with the sedan version of the kit but never got around to finishing it.

Really clean, nicely detailed build. I love the color; is it custom?
