Autoquiz 385 - Finished

Recommended Posts

This I was looking for 1956 - 1958 Jaguar MK VIII. It is hard to tell if it is a MK VIII or a MK IX . The only from outside visibel difference to the Mk VIII is the Mk IX batch on the trunk . So answer that  said it is Mk IX were also ok.  The Mk VII has a different front and  no chrome strip on the side .

Here's a comment.  :)

My uncle had a Mk 9 that was two-tone black over grey with brown leather upholstery. Registration no FCK 90.

This would have been in the early 1960s...

It certainly wouldn't have been in the sensitive 2010s with that rego.

The UK's Driver and Vehicle Licencing Authority are very vigilant about not letting rude or anti-social letter combinations appear on number plates. Although it can happen that some "interesting" ones do get through. The most famous of all being PEN 1S that has been owned by various people and on a range of different cars. I think that one of them was an E Type.
