DRIPTROIT 71
This truck began with a resin cab I think to be from "Back Yard Shed." It was slightly modified to make it more accurate. The Frame rails are from Gary Wallace. The engine is a 6-71N from Clint Freeman. The bed began with the AMT wrecker bed. The sides were completely scratch built. The font and rear are from the kit but have been narrowed 1/4 inch. The boom stick is scratch built and larger diameter. The winch assemblies and boom support are from the kit. The wheels are old Ertl kit wheels. These wreckers were known by many as "Big Stick" wreckers. I decided to build this one clean fresh out of the paint shop. Pete68
Very nice Brian I like that little 6-71 in there. My dad’s truck had one in it and that’s how I learned how to drive a truck was on an old 6-71 also really like the colors you have you did a great job on this project
CRUSADER2
That is a really nice piece of work, excellent job all round, really like the cab interior though, great detail with the dash fans as well. Trying to get some for my current build but they never seem to be in stock, anyway, fantastic job!!! all the best from France.

leafsprings
Very impressive build, a long wheelbase vintage cabover with period big stick really brings back towing history! This one deserves Continental Towing Decals.

dshue76
Looks great. It's not uncommon for heavy trucks to be kept in absolutely clean condition.

Thanks!! I actually used to clean up trucks in my early teens. Inside and out, windows too, and sometimes wax and polish, $5 a truck. Those were the days. I thought that I was a rich man if I cleared $25 on a Saturday.
