Cpt Tuttle
Trying to make a project thread of something I have done some small work on every now and then... The cab is painted with yellow metallic from some Belton rattlecan, and then black metallic, touchup paint from some Mercedes or BMW, don't remember which now. Over everything there is gold glitter spray to simulate metalflake, and of course sealed with some layers of clearcoat. The interior will be white and oxblood. I normally don't understand the thing with old bakelite steering wheels in old trucks but I think that it fits OK this time. The steering wheel in the kit is wrong anyway, it's the ugly steering wheel from the older F12 trucks (like a supersized Volvo 240 wheel), not the more modern FH steering wheel that actually looks pretty good. Cpt Tuttle
I got a bit upset when this one did hit the floor and shattered into pieces, but I gave it another chance now. Maybe not too bad looking? I was a bit nervous when I got the idea that three auxillary lights would look good recessed into my freshly painted grille, but I managed to cut it mostly unscratched, so.... A little mockup. Cpt Tuttle
Made an LED light bar from some Evergreen profiles and the foil from a medicine package. I think that it looks convincing enough. Also, Ukraine plates, dont know why but they felt like they did fit into the theme, lol. LED light bar and two Michelin men above the windshield, air horns (painted with yellow candy for brass look since it felt more fitting here than chrome) and a hazard light bar on the roof. Force
As I also live in Sweden I have to say yes, but that configuration is more for the central European countries where they mostly use 2 axle tractors, the ones we have here are mostly 3 or more axles. Nice work Mattias.
Cpt Tuttle
Especially in Sweden almost every truck is a Volvo or Scania, some DAF and Mercedes but they are much less common......
