Your Favorite or Interesting Race Car Livery

Recommended Posts

FWIW.  Dick Lang was the son of a Chevrolet dealer in Xenia Ohio who raced Corvettes in the late 50s and early 60s.  The Internal Revenue Service challenged his writing off of his racing expenses as advertising for the dealership and they went to court.  The court ruled it was allowable and thus the rapid expansion of liveries and sponsorships.

True race car livery is livery that happens to be on a true race car.

I love those old racers too, but you have to admit,  the colour schemes have gotten a lot more interesting over the years.

The cool thing about modern livery is the film application. A livery can be changed/installed in less than a day. Much better than trying to paint. You can do anything a computer can print.
