OH Nooooo!!! It can't be, but.......

I guess I must be going blind as I've been working on my Linberg 67 Olds 442 for a couple of months now and got quite the surprise when I went to fit the rear bumper. As you can see in my pic that the left 1/4 panel did not fill all the way in the mold. I can't believe I never saw it after repeated body washing, priming and sanding and what I thought was going to be my best paint job yet. I've had this kit for a couple of years now and had pulled it out and looked it several times also before putting it on the back burner. I suppose I'll be awful proud of the passenger side in my display case.

Give Lindberg a buzz and they just might send you a new body free of charge.... ;)

Fill it with putty, prime, install Wisconsin, Minnesota,  or Michigan plates and call it a day.

Hate to see that happen! It is a nice paint job too.

Looks like the beginning of a great survivor car from a few winters too many. I've been told the best weathered cars start with good body work.

I'm happy these days if I get a good left or right side.  It's asking too much for both.

Round 2 reissued this kit pretty recently, they might still have a few to pull a body from. It wouldn't hurt to send them an email to check.

Lindberg owes you a good body. Contact them, and send this pic.

If that doesn't work, this is fixable. It's not difficult, just time-consuming and tedious. Dunno how hard it might be to match the paint, though.

LOL. Or just leave the hole with those plates.

I'll give it a shot but it is a little late now. Site states receipt required but a pic is worth a thousand words. Maybe a complete kit! :)

Yeah, since the body is obviously short shot they might bend the rules a bit.

Now's your chance to try autobody! It's just plastic. Cut a filler from scrap plastic, glue, sand, fill.
Mask off everything but the rear quarter and back, and spray.
Yeah, it's a pain in the tuckkus, but that's model building.

Agree. This is fixable. You shouldn't HAVE to, but then the world is full of stuff you shouldn't HAVE to do.

Lindberg doesn't exist anymore.  The kits are now under the Round 2 umbrella.

Hmm. Anyone have a good '67 body and some 2-part putty-type rubber? Someone could mold a copy of the rear area of the quarter panel, send the mold to Keith, and he could put the mold on the body and backfill it with resin. I used that method to fix a broken tailfin on a '61 T-bird.
