Jim N
My favorite driver from back in the day. The model is built box stock. The paint is from MCW. I do not know the source for the decals. I bought them a number of years ago and they sat until I finally got around to this project. The three color paint scheme had me rather intimidated based on everything that can go wrong, but I am rather pleased with the way it turned out. Thanks for looking. MarkJ
Awesome looking build, Jim. Excellent job on the three tone paint. Great job on the decals as well. I'm curious why the numbers were two tone. Cant ever remember seeing that before.

Mark, the car represents the 1998 livery, and as far as I can tell, they ran the two tone numbers for two years. Those being 1997 and 1998. Robbie Gordon was in the car in 97. In at least one other year, the numbers on the doors were one solid color and the number on the roof was a second solid color. So yes, it is curious that for these two years the numbers were two tone.

Going through some of my old NASCAR trading card albums and came across these 2...................the one on the left is 1998 and the one on the right is 1999. Thought you might like seeing them.
