As Stacy & Tom are continuing with they’re builds I will submit mine, a Revell/AMT ‘56 Chrysler New Yorker St. Regis.
I will attempt to make this-A550053C-89F7-4E40-AA91-BF425340E190.thumb.jpeg.066740b1e853eef3711ca0c73f720e15.jpeg8E4EBD17-968F-4E98-B8ED-F31C03C69F9B.thumb.jpeg.68929998334a4a19a93df9e122512b0b.jpeg7731BA8D-9BE3-493B-B842-9C61BC9C24F3.thumb.jpeg.96d7336afd140daaaeb5d5791d5cb485.jpeglook like this-E41803A9-3550-4105-BA28-356BD25E225B.jpeg.75ba3a5e42fcbcffd6ca6701c1b9e532.jpegmy Dad’s ‘56.
I have started another along with it as some of the pictures show. (It will be a mild custom) Only planning to get the one done but the other may get completed in the process.
I don’t know why there is a quarum of 8 needed for a round to be official but hopefully another will join in. Maybe we will complete the first unofficial round!

Now off to find desert rose paint!

I

Pretty much got the chassis sewn up. Just need the glued joins at the top roll cage bars where it meets the back roll hoop to dry before attaching the front bars. I forgot just how fiddly the suspension was to put together. And having to run the spark plug wires once the engine and headers were in the frame was tricky but there is no other way to do it. Plan for tomorrow will be to get the wheels fitted and roll cage nailed down. That will leave the internal sheet metal to fit and the body over that which I am dreading.

GOTTER DUN. GOTTER DUN. GOTTER DUN.!!!!!  Woo Friggen Hoo!!! ( can I say that or should I edit it out??? )

Fitting the interior sheet metal panel the trying to get it snugged down over and around the roll cage was diabolical.

Ill post final pics tomorrow.

I've been working on some stalled projects lately.

Pick one, tell us when you started it and when you last worked on it (before your recent activity), declare yourself in, and you're in. Completion date for this round is June 30. B)

Gotcha,

I'll start with the Magnum. Started it about 12 years ago . The chassis and interior are done . Just need  to work on the wood grain sides and finish the paint.

Looks great! You have time to submit & complete another project!?!

Thanks John. It 's the first Kit I have finished in the past year. This BOYD has been a huge motivation in getting it done.

I do have the next kit on the pile ready  to be finished. This kids picked it out of the pile of unfinished kits. Its not been worked in in nearly 2 years and it is a limited run kit.

BUUUUUUUT the question is, what has 4 wheels and tyres, disc brakes. 2 doors, head and tail lights and front valance of a Camaro but cant be entered here????

Wow, you guys are really going at it. I better get off my behind and start working on my camaro.

Been busy with the new chicks and a new exhaust on the Harley. Looks like next week I will have time to dive back in.

Great work so far.

Well, I dug through what I had started on the 77 camaro build. Most of the chrome will have to be stripped, the flash is horrible on the tree. I am rethinking building it as a plain jane, berlinetta. The kit, as bad as it is, has some decent custom front and rear pans and split bumpers. So, I am thinking spectator drag type build. Something someone rescued and built enough to race for fun.

To add to the fun, the kit has no instructions and only the wierd, trans am esque decals. It will be a basic, no details build for sure.

Do you have any issues with the red plastic bleeding through the paint, the hood of my 67 vette has a red hugh, and I believe it's from the plastic being cast in red, but I don't know how to fix this problem, I tried to catch it in pics as best I could, in person it's very noticeable
