SEMA Corvette Z06 - Foose + Trufiber

Hey Guys

I've joined a build on Instagram to build a SEMA worthy show car, & what better choice than someone who presents at SEMA every year than Foose!

Chip Foose's artwork on the box of the Revell kit is spectacular, sadly the kit doesn't quite live up to the box art! So I wanted to do it justice.

I'll be adding C1 Models Trufiber widebody transkit + some scratchbuilding & other Mods, I've also purchased a Maisto 1/24 Z06 (Revell is 1/25) for some of its Z06 parts, seeing as Revell wont do the Z06.

First up was stripping the paint, I thought the body was black & painted silver, turned out I was wrong, the black paint came off easy az, the Silver is actually painted but isnt budging so will paint over it.

C1 Models Fender Flares - need a few bubbles popped & filled.

The Wheels - The Foose specific wheels are awesome, they look great on his GT40!!! But I wanted a bit of dish for the widebody kit. So I used Tuner Model 20" wheel rims.

Lots of sanding & cutting was required, & this is how I did most of it!

Hey Guys

Been making some slow progress over the last few night. All the Z06 parts have been made to fit the body, vents opened etc. I've also started mounting the fenders & nearly done with modifying the bonnet!

These fender vents took 2 hrs each to fit, lots of careful sanding & test fitting, didn't want the straight line vent have a curved body line beside it.
