Mad Modeler
I showed a picture of this one a while back but here's a few more... Revell's 06 Mustang. Did a little work on this one, not exactly box stock. The wheels are Pegasus 20s with some 18" tires stretched over them. They have a little more sidewall than the 20" tires and more detail. 285s in the rear and 245s on the front. It took a little cutting and filing to get them to fit. Had to smooth out the inside of the front fenderwells. Not a lot really, nothing that looks unrealistic. Cut off the spindles and raised them. At the rear I cut out the back of the wheelwells, set them back as far as I could and still use the stock interior and filled the gap with Evergreen sheet. Still had to do some sanding on the back of the interior panels for fit. I shortened the springs and shocks, narrowed the differential, lowered the control arms a bit and adjusted the panhard bar and sway bar. The car is lowered about 3 scale inches overall. Disc brakes are from Pegasus. The paint is PlastiKote Ford Performance white and Testors Go Mango lacquer. Grabber Orange just wasn't quite right. The stripes and tail panel are PlastiKote black with some silver added and were layed out by hand with tape. The front and rear spoilers were scratched from Evergreen. The paint scheme came from a car built by Air Ride Technologies that they called the Woodward GT. Couldn't find a set of wheels similar to what they used though. Wildrice
I like that Stang. You did a great job fitting those wheels on it. That was a fun kit to build.
