Here is what I have in the parts box, no idea the kit source.

Does seat #20 have the number 81 on the backside, by chance?

I think the light blue seat, #18, is the custom seat from the AMT '49 Ford kit. Does it have the hollow, round cylinder on the bottom?

Yes #20 has the number 81 on the bottom.

Yes #18 has a hollow cylinder on the bottom.

DSCN5842

  • #18 - AMT '49 Ford
  • #19 -
  • #20
  • #21 - AMT '53 Studebaker
  • #22 -
  • #23 -

I thought #19 might be the soft vinyl seats from MPC, so I dug out my original '69 Firebird annual and looked at them. The overall shape is very, VERY close, but mine have horizontal, not vertical, pleats, they're molded in black (like tires, natch), and the sprue points are on the sides, not the fronts. So, no cigar. But I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they're from an MPC something.

I don't have a picture, but the recent release of the Pinto Cruising Van includes the old Pro Stock bucket seats.

Here it is on the instruction sheet:

Not sure where these came from, either, so I'll add them as #24...low back with no headrests, so pre-1970 or so, AMT or MPC?:

I'd say those are from the MPC "California Flash" Duster pro stock.

Is seat #13, the black seat shown below, from the MPC Carl Casper Cosmic Charger (and the other 'sibling' kits which share many parts)? Nope, not from that/those kits. -_-

The yellow seat below is from the AMT Sandkat/Piranha Dragster kits:

I agree they are most likely from an MPC kit.

Here are a few more, with #25 being the same as #6 from the group image in post #1, and the yellow Piranha dragster seat for size/scale comparison:

I think #26 is from the AMT '65 Mustang AWB/Street Freak kit, and #27 is from the "Rat Packer" '65 Chevy II AWB kit.
