Wow.. this is going to be a nice build. Just love big Fords. I’d love to get my hands on a 67, but a bit too pricey for me right now. Even IF I could find one. I’ve always used the AMT Starliner engine, or the parts from it I might need. It has the best looking fuel components, IMHO. That air cleaner looks similar to the AMT 66 Fairlane 427.  I’ll definitely be following this one.

Sometimes you can find a distressed promo for a good deal. turn it into a kit.

Today, I cleaned the paint from the scripts, sanded the trim between the top and body and did a little more foiling and detailing.

I foiled the trunk badge and the center of the side trim so that I could do a little paint detailing before clear coat.

the rest of the side trim will be foiled when the paint work is completely finished.

Put together my color combination for the interior today.

Still need to finish up a few small things and then I'll be ready to start air brushing.

The medium green on the left will be for the lower half of the dash & the steering wheel.

Darker green in the middle will be the dash pad and inserts in the seats and door panels.

The light "gold green" on the right will be the overall upholstery color on the seats, console & door panels.

Started adding a little color to the interior today.

Decided on a color change for the darkest color of the three.

I just wasn't seeing enough contrast between the darker and medium green so I pulled out an old can of Duplicolor touch-up paint and shot the dash pad, interior tub and inserts in the door panels and seats a dark green.

Thanks guys!

Just finished the 5th coat of clear tonight.

Looking good, but I may do a little light sanding to remove a few small dust specks and add one more coat before beginning the polishing process.

Please excuse the blurry pics.

I obviously still need to work on my photography skills!

Had to do a quick mock up of the interior to be certain that everything would still go together well and I'm glad that I did!

One of the door panels had distorted considerably.

I assume from all of the cutting, scribing & reshaping.

It had become far too flat.

To the point that the rear seat would not fit & there was a large gap between the top of the door and the interior panel.

It was not terribly difficult to rectify.

A little heat and bending restored the slight bow that it required.

Looks like it should go together as expected now.

Stunning work Steve, looks fantastic!!

X2 Steve....

a terrific choice topic for a build, and love the extra effort you are putting into the interior.  And the exterior badging work is, well to my mind at least, simply exceptional.  Good luck wrapping this project....TIM
