In my recent book, I have a section at the end of each chapter called "Missing in Action".  This includes both muscle cars that have never been kitted in 1/24th-1/25th scales, and muscle cars that need a newly tooled kit (due to past kits being poorly rendered, permanently out of production, or otherwise unavailable at any where near reasonable prices to today's collectors and builders).

DSC 0601

Chapter 4 covers Pontiac, Olds, and Buick muscle era car kits.  Don't have a picture handy, but below is a copy of the text of the "Missing in Action" box at the end of that chapter:. The 1967 GS-400 discussed in this thread is, of course, one of the "MIA kits in the list below.

MISSING IN ACTION

A> GTO/442/Gran Sport kits yet to appear in any 1/24th-1/25th scale kit

* 1970 & 1971 GTO Judge Hardtop and Convertible (1970 with optional RA-IV engine, 1971 with the 455 HO engine)

* 1971 GT-37 w/400 4-bbl

* 1973 GTO or GrandAm Coupe with (for extra credit) the planned – but not produced – 455 Super Duty engine

*****

* 1964 & 1965 442

* 1968-1970 F85/Cutlass with W-31 package

* 1970 Olds Rallye 350

******

* 1965, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1971 & 1972 Gran Sport, including 1969-1972 Stage 1

* 1967 GS-340, 1968-1970 GS-350

B> GTO/442/Gran Sport kits that need a new/modern kit offering

* 1965, 1967, 1968, 1970, 1971, and 1972 GTO (1970 to include RA-IV engine; 1971 to include 455 HO engine)

* 1968 442 Hardtop and Convertible

* 1970-1971 442 Hardtop and Convertible with W-30 package

Also....FWIW I hear that there may be at least one kit released next year that falls within the 1964-1972 GM A-Body BOP category....hope it actually materializes!   TIM

Are you referring to the 68 Chevelle  or is there something more interesting possibly in the works ?

BTW, great book. I read it cover to cover

id love to see them bring out a 66-73 GS kit.... I have the old 66 but it needs parts i cant find yet wanting to build replicas of the ones my family had over the years..66,67,69,73.

I would love a 73 Gran Sport stage 1 kit.

Our 73 GS had a all Kenny Bell parts engine....was a real beast...factory 4 speed too supposed to have been a rare option for the 73s.   I have the old AMT 66 GS model build up and the craftsman but both were damaged in the 2011 tornado we had here a long with the rest of them from my dads old collection sadly....both need parts I ether cant find or afford.

If I can get the hood scoops to look better and an interior done to my liking I have a 69 in the works.

Nice Buick. I agree with the hood scoop needing some finessing. Seems a bit chunky and large. This Buick body design was all about a svelte streamlined look, unlike the 70 and later versions. The character lines in the trunk could use a bit of finessing to bring the lines a bit longer

I too would love to see a '65 GS, as I drove a '65 Special 2DS in high school. I just ordered a '65 4-4-2 in resin from MCW and will post pics and a report when I get it.

Great minds think alike - I had this one from '83-'86:

I soon after got the correct spinner wheel covers for it (which later got stolen :angry:). I think an AMT '64 Cutlass would be a good start for a scratchbuild.

I have the original AMT 64 Cutlass and wouldn't waist it on the Buick. I'll have the 64-65 though. $75 for this 64 cad file. I can modify it to get what I want and then  3d print it out.5c1545df75c7b_64skylark.png.b80e4ec954faf4c1e310a33fd43f7686.png

Fabulous! Can you print me one, too? Is a hardtop or 2DS available?
