Wm David Green
Have only recently been bitten by the classic and muscle car bug, and have bought a few 1/25 scale kits recently, including a very nice second hand Lindberg '53 Ford Victoria and the 'recent' MPC 1973 Ford Mustang (beyond the body shell, I'd say the rest of this kit looks a bit rough?). Previously I collected mostly 1/35 scale WW2 tanks and trucks. Researching U.S. auto manufacturers has led me to this change, plus nostalgia for the era. From what I have seen and read so far I gather that a substantial number of the available 1/25 kits date back to the 1960's, with varying degrees of detail and/or authenticity. Renegade
Welcome aboard William. I have several of the 53s, very nice kits in my opinion. Great builders and a lot of great information on this site.

Wm David Green
Thank you to all for the warm welcome. Yes there are some beautiful places up here, great countryside, and coastline. But the climate, it rains a bit, it's got to be hard work for classic auto owners. Salutations from the land of the wet and rusty.

Welcome aboard, William! You might think about investing in this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1613253958/ Excellent reference and history, and very clear on what the good kits of "xxx" are, and which ones are best avoided! best, M. <profile removed>
Hello and welcome! I built a few Airfix kits many, many years ago and made the transition to AMT and Monogram sometime in the 70s. I believe you will enjoy building the American cars and kits. Cheers!
