The Corvette Guy a.k.a. The Corvette Guru. :D

How in the heck do I detail the wheels that come in the Revell WoF release?

Don't have any pics. of that wheel in any of my Corvette reference books.

I would just use the old "black wash" trick on them. Nice Vette BTW!

John,

Those hubcaps were pretty much "solid" with slots only on the outer recess. Bill pics are good. Here is a close up that may help:

A good old black wash should work.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Those wheelcovers look really good John!

The car looks GREAT!

If I may offer a suggestion if it is not too late: the tires are way too shiny. A light sanding on the tread will tone it down a bit.

Just a suggestion.

Thanks,

Ya know....the first thing I do with a new kit is sand the tread. I must have done that to it yet it doesn't look like it.

I'll have to do something about that.

Thanks for the kind words guys!

Nice Job John!

Hmmm........I don't have one of those in my stash..............I should try and find one. It's nice to see a '63 built with the standard hubcaps instead of the more common knockoffs. fing02.gif

You need one Bill. Great results can be had with little work.

'Course, I realize you'll prolly have to do something extra to it. :)
