TooOld
I was reposting lost photos on another site and thought some of you may like this one too , built in 2014 it's a resin kit of Fritz Schenck's Roswell Rod . Here's the real Show Rod . . . . . . and the resin kit . I used the resin body and interior but replaced everything else with styrene sourced from a dozen or so different kits . I mixed my own Tangerine Pearl paint and added a functioning bubbletop . Here's the finished model .

bobthehobbyguy
Cool nicely done. Replacing the parts with plastic really makes the model stand out. I love it. I get a kick out of the articles that said that the roswell rod was fiberglass. I have an under construction shot showing it was done in metal. And thank you Bob , sourcing all of the correct parts in plastic was a major job in itself ! And you're correct , the Roswell Rod was most definitely all steel !
