Beautiful looking paint.  Very interested in seeing this come together.

Not silver really does a great job of showing off how curvy the 959 really is. The wiring on the engine especially with the looms looks particularly good too.

Loving this build.

The 959 is one of the few Porsches I have a serious soft spot for - consider me convinced to pick up the kit. ;)

Hey Tomo, thanks, and it is a great kit, excellent detail, and really check - £13 new from a hobby store.

Now that I've moved in and settled - and got ready for Christmas! got some time at the bench.

I tried to paint the interior with enamel satin cream, but it came out really lumpy. so I've had to sand it down, and mask for spraying it.

Now looking at the body, there are strnage blemishes in the paint.

i'm hoping they go away when I do the wax and shine layer of the Novous polishing system. If not, then they are minor, i'm not looking for perfection...20191228_122531.jpg.075883eb2239d2ae139a206d14eb7d62.jpg

Good to see you hit the bench so quickly after your move.

Shame about the paint, but it hardly shows in the pics.

What is the novous polishing system that you mention?

Thanks Sonny!

Novous is a polishing system - I used to use Tamiya, but I really don't get along with the crappy tubes, I prefer these bottles

Long time since my last update on this.

The interior has now been sprayed... and the inevitable overspray has been removed!

the body what polished again - twice with Novus "clean & shine" it did end up removing those blemishes in the previous post.

some final trim taking place & now I've just got to do the windows.

I did want to ask if anyone has a better technique of gluing in the windows. I tend to use a tooth pick and dab while PVA style glue into the edges hoping it doesn't seep through....

That kolor is BEAUTIFUL!!!...glad you were able to fix it!!.....i like to tape the windows in, then flow a watered down mix of canopy glue around the perimeters with a brush....it flows in almost as good as tamiyas extra thin cement. Once it drys for a few minutes, i sometimes add another application.....works a treat for me.

Nice work!

Ben

Thanks Ben & Sonny.

And thanks for the tip Dann.

I tried to use Microsol Clear, that's a really runny PVA, but it tends to go  everywhere! I might try to slightly dilute the std craft PVA that I currently have.
