Cut some sheet plastic for the interior panels and floor and start beefing up the frame. J/F resin cab and tires with wheels. Grille ,bumper and door handles are Monogram 1950 pickup with chrome removed. Seat , glass and some other items are from the Monogram kit also. BIGTRUCK Posted February 11, 2019 Author Share Posted February 11, 2019 Updates on this resin dont change much early in the build as most of the work is hidden to make parts fit. Thin walled the hood to fit better. Have the stance close enough for my eyes. Bumper and grille fitted and pinned .Now start the interior , the window area needs some thinning on the inside. Chariots of Fire Posted February 15, 2019 Share Posted February 15, 2019 Can I make a suggestion? I like what is coming together but I think the front of the hood needs to be rounded out more. I found this photo on line that shows how the 1:1 rig looks. If you thinned out the inside of the hood at the front it might mean pouring some casting resin in the nose when you round it out. BIGTRUCK Posted February 18, 2019 Author Share Posted February 18, 2019 I know the hood front is somewhat square but in order to get that rounded look I would have to cut out a pretty big piece and re do the leading edge. Plus there are accents coves that go under the side hood trim that this hood also lacks. Im happy with it, I spent some time on it. I have many kits to build and Im not getting any younger? Interior is all trimmed to fit, and floor mounts in.. Door panels made just need some details on them. Dash, seat and part of the floor are kit parts , the rest is made from Evergreen Plastic.
