59 Impala
I built a replica of Jim Reeds 59 Impala that he won the Darlington 500 in 59. I also included a picture of his car at Darlington. I really enjoyed building this car. Thanks fer lookin. Dan

Daddy Mack
Real Nice Work! Back when men carried their junk in a Radio Flyer Wagon with Stake Rack
59 Impala
Thanks guys for the kind words. Yeah, I liked watching the races back then. Now, not so much. Now, it's hard to tell the difference between makers of the cars, cause they look so much alike. Dan
Lizard Racing
I built one of these some years ago. I call it: " A New York Yankee in NASCAR Land." Yours looks good. Where did you get the decals?
59 Impala
Thank you George. The decals were made by a friend of mine who has passed away. He was the owner of Red Pegasus Decals. Dan

MrObsessive
That looks great Dan! Yeah, I lost track of NASCAR many years ago when the cars were no longer representative of what you could actually buy. That '59 Chevy I'm sure may have drove a lot of sales that year despite its radical looks. Racing played a big part and now the cars today are soooo.............tame by comparison to the way it used to be.

Bucky
Great Chevy!! This is one I didn't know about. There was a Jim Reed Chevrolet dealership in Nashville, Tennessee, back in the day. I bought a used Dodge from them in '79.
59 Impala
Thanks guys for the kind words. I really enjoyed building this car. The 59 Impala is my favorite car and Jim Reed won the Darlington 500 with this car in 59. Dan
