Seems that he pretty much toured right until his death in order to keep up with his mounting medical bill from chronic health issues. One of the guitar greats in my opinion! Godspeed Dick Dale. Badluck 13 Posted March 18, 2019 Share Posted March 18, 2019 The man wasn't only just a legend but a man who truly appreciated his fans,we seen him twice,pictured here with my daughter in 2011 and 2012 seen him again and he honestly remembered Baby Girl and stopped playing for a second and asked how she been since last year and handed her his pick and continued to jam on.... heaven just got louder ....thank you Dick Dale.. Dick has inspired me to play guitar, and I have not looked back since then. I used to attend his concerts whenever I got the chance, and hung out with him backstage. One time in 2014, I met him down in Huntington Beach, CA and showed him my '65 Corvair Monza convertible. I'm absolutely torn over losing the King of the Surf Guitar. R.I.P. One of my daughters went to the second concert. Oddly enough, she couldn't get any of her friends to come along. Their profound loss.
