JollySipper
Revell's 2009 Challenger has an excellent Hemi engine in it...... it even has decals for the 6.1 badges on the valve covers.....
Mr mopar
it depends on witch one you want 5.7 liter or 6.1 liter Hemi ? Revell has a very nice 6.1 Challenger SRT or Magnum wagon SRT and Testors have a nice 5.7 R/T charger & Daytona R/T Charger and Charger Super bee SRT 6.1 hemi . Force
Isn't the third generation 5.7, 6.1, 6.2 and 6.4 basically the same engines except for the bore/stroke and some of the outside accessories. These engines do have the spark plugs in the center of the valve cover and the intake and exhaust valves opposite eachother like the generaton 1 and 2 Hemi's but that doesn't automatically make them a Hemi, these engines don't have hemisferical combustion chambers in the heads so they are not a true Hemi regardless of what Chrysler wants us to believe with the Hemi name. Just be advised that though these two engines should be identical, they are not. The one in the Magnum wagon kit is significantly longer than the unit in the Challenger kit. It's been a while since I checked the actual dimensions, but IIRC, the engine in the Challenger is the correct one.
