SfanGoch
Schaefer Beer was brewed in my neighborhood and I thought this would make an interesting model. Knowing the model, I can probably find a resin cab.
highway
I'm not 100% sure, but from the way it looks it could be an old White like this one from Revell. The only possible drawback if I am correct, this truck is one of their 1/48th scale kits like the "Honest John" missile transport truck and also a mid 50s Ford. I don't know if there is any resin conversions in 1/24th or 1/25th or not, I did checK AITM's website and didn't see a similar cab there. SfanGoch
Thank you gentlemen. You're correct about the Revell kit being 1/48 scale, Donnie. Checking around, I see that Jimmy Flintstone makes a cab 1950s White Truck Cab Over and Danbury Mint produced a 1/24 White 3014 WLB Delivery Trucks
plastic trucker
I believe RMR makes one in 1/25th also.
SfanGoch
it was offered by RMR, cab and grille/bumper only. Not listed now, though. Looks similar to the JF casting. Photo:
cappy625
wow! a blast from the past. my dad hauled a lot of beer out of that brewery back in the early 70s. some times in the summer I would ride with him...that brewery and I think it was piels real draft in the Bronx also we would go...back then you would still see some of them old white 3000s running around the city. redneckrigger
As stated above, RMR and Jimmy Flintstone offer these in resin as well as the Danbury diecast version. In the past, resin cabs were also offered by Rick Manz and Ron Cash, though both were quite a while ago, but they still show up on eBay once in a while. All are very slightly different, and Manz also offered a sleeper version. The Cash version was excellent, the Manz version less so.
