Looking very, very good! Drive on! B)

Thanks Snake.

More time at the bench today preparing a few bits and pieces. Used my photo-reducing method and printed up the Edelbrock valve covers. Other images in pic are MSD ignition modules and Racepak dashboard faces for my other project, the Kaufman Falcon.

Cut the images out and glued them to the tops of the valve covers, then painted the units with aluminium paint. Then sat them on the engine to check the look. Happy with them!!

Heading to hobby shop tomorrow for super glue and zapper, and some fresh putty.

As always, comments most welcome.

Cheers.... Geoff

Back from a big weekend of historic Motorsport and thought it was time to get stuck into the Nova as I saw the owners of the car at the racetrack.

Managed to get some primer on the body and can now see I still have a fair bit of filling and sanding to do. Also I still have the drip rails and rear window trim to go on.

Finished reshaping the harness holes in the seats and shot them with primer.

Then spent some time priming and painting the engine block in Tamiya French Blue and tried out the intake manifold and rocker covers to see how it would look. Yeah not bad.

As always guys, your comments and feedback are most welcome 😀

Cheers...... Geoff

Been a little while since my last post but managed to take advantage of the wet conditions here at home and spend some time at the bench.

Tackled the rest of the roof trim today. Rain gutters and rear window surround attached.

More sanding and shaping to do but very happy with progress.

Cheers..... Geoff

12 months passes pretty quickly and I've had little to no time to do any modeling on this project.

However, I do now have time (being in a covid19 lockdown) to spend at the bench on my projects.

Watch out soon for some more progress pics.

Cheers....Geoff

Hi Geoff, beautiful work. I have done a fair bit of cutting/filling etc. but never braves enough to do a sedan conversion. Very well done!

Thanks Steve,

It really was a pretty brave thing for me!!! But I'm glad I've managed to pull it off.

Now, if I could only work out how to resin cast it??? MMmmmmm!!

Hi Guys,

Here's a couple of comparison photos showing the conversion from Coupe to 2 door Sedan body.

I'm wondering if there is anybody interested in a resin copy.

I would consider getting it done if the interest was there. Let me know what you think.

Original body shape is the white one. My modified sedan is the primered one.

Cheers.....Geoff

A rainy day today, so more time to work on the Nova.

Test fitting the engine, rollcage and fuel cell. All coming together quite well.

Cheers....Geoff

Thanks Anton,

If I can make a part, I prefer to do that than buy aftermarket. So the valve covers are topped with a photo representation of the real thing.

Also...I'd be in for a few(2) of the body's if you cast it..for sure.

Thanks to everyone for your comments and feedback!

A little more progress today.

Distributor and headers added to engine, Rollcage setting up, and front end parts installed - Note on this kit the steering rod is too short, making the front wheels toe out something terrible. Hence you'll see my fix on the steering rod to lengthen it properly.

And for those interested in a casting of the body, I'll see what I can do to get them done.

Cheers......Geoff
