cargostar Posted June 7, 2019 With a couple of the Crusing Van kits in my hands, I’ve started on another project that will be cast in the future. Lengthening the kit from 124” wheelbase to 138” for the club wagon, and eventually the even longer super wagon. Starting with the floor pan to keep everything straight. Againmikewins Posted June 10, 2019 I'd be in for one for sure! Especially if I could figure out how to get a front and rear end that would look like my '94 I had!
cargostar Posted June 11, 2019 Made some progress over the weekend. Floor is done and ready for primer, Frame is lengthened and ready for the rear extension, and, the body has had some surgery.....

Oldmopars Posted June 12, 2019 I like where this is going. Are you going to keep it as a panel van or add the windows to a family hauler?
av405 Posted June 13, 2019 Will you also be working on the appropriate wheels and hubcaps?
Ben Posted June 14, 2019 Ooooh, I need this for my Denimachine project!
GLMFAA1 Posted June 14, 2019 I have copies of pages from the body book for that series of econolines, if you want dimensions or copies let me know, the super van extension is wider then the body in the back of the van. greg
cargostar Posted June 15, 2019 Well, slight change.... Decided to cut out the sliding door, so I can offer it as an insert, with 4 versions. Slider without window, slider with window, split doors with windows, and split doors without windows.

Ben Posted July 1, 2019 Lookin great!!! Will the one piece side door be an option?
cargostar Posted July 2, 2019 13 hours ago, Ben said: Lookin great!!! Will the one piece side door be an option? Yes. Im thinking a body, interior, frame, and then choice of side door as a separate piece. I will offer the side doors by themselves to fit the short kit body also. Repstock Posted July 2, 2019 (edited) On the passenger side, you'll have to move the rear light up into the dip in the side. Also, the handle on the side cargo doors should be at the same height as the front door handle. I've done this conversion, but put ribbing inside, so I have no choice but to make a cargo van. Really cool that this will be offered for sale.. Edited July 2, 2019 by Repstock
Againmikewins Posted July 2, 2019 I'm excited to see this progress. Also can't wait to hopefully get my hands on one or two!
