A comparison of the size of the two cars. I'll have to stretch the resin body, one way or another.

Might the Daytona (365 GTB) be a better starting point for the conversion?

That's going to be quite a project, but I can't wait to see it, will be a one of a kind model, as it is in real!

What about the rear end off a Dino?  Would that be closer?

Not close enough.

What I am seeing mostly (especially when you look at the nose) is a 365 California with a roofline similar to the Dino coupe.  Unfortunately I dont recall there ever being a kit of the 365.

Check my drawing, which I've done in 1/24th to help visualize the model and dimension the parts I will replace. The roof and the rear of the model will be built of high density urethane.

The nose is easy, it's the rear that's hard.

I know you already have the GTC kit, but would their 500 Superfast or 330 GT 2+2 get you closer to the rear bodywork?

Ha! If I had a cad file of this, I would print it and it would literally snap together. And I've done it - see my Fiat Supersonic.

this design is very interesting

not an expert - but I think Pinnin proposed both front and rear engine designs to Ferrari - when? - in '67 ?

this car carries design features from both the rear engine proto - the Dino - and the fr engine prototypes ....

so it's a mutt

but a very pretty one ....

the coachbuild forum is devious - lots of rabbit holes to crawl down ...

Sometimes I use a jewelers file, sometimes a weed rasp.
