donb
Hi all, been a long time since I posted. Life happens. Any how, here are some pics of my completed Duesenburg. Detail are: Body painted Testors Gold Metallic, running boards painted Root Beer Metallic. Interior and top painted Ivory. I wanted to give it a "Rich" feeling. After all, only the very well to do could afford one of these. Built box stock. A few with the top up and the hood on. Phildaupho
Always great to see a classic posted. I really like your color selection. A Duesy is still on my list of want to builds.

Nacho Z
Wow!! That is gorgeous! I absolutely love the color combination. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and I may have to copy your work if/when I build mine! Really, really nice work, Don. Cpt Tuttle
Prewar cars are among my favourite modelling subjects, I have a similar Monogram kit, is there anything I should know about it before building?

There are a few real delicate parts. Just need to be cautious. I also Took a lot of time gluing both windshields on. Model goes together well. 89AKurt
Nice to see someone build these! I got the kit from an estate, looked really good, but sold at the GSL show. Like the color choice!
Richard Bartrop
Those old Monogram kits still build up nice, and the colour is not that far off what they put on the original.

robertw
I like it. You've done a very nice job. This line of '30s Monogram classics is some of the best work they ever did. I doubt we'll see the Germans reissue this series of kits. Have a couple of these in the stash but won't get to one for at least a year. This winter I'll be doing the Monogram Cord. What did the engineer thought that time when he construct it?
