oldnslow
Wow , looks like my wife's car , she had a 70 Mach 1 , in that color , traded it for a silver\with a black vinyl top 72 SS Chevelle . Guess that's what attracted me to her , being a car nut too .
cruz
I am building the John Wick Mustang for something special and cannot share much but I did use the front clip from the 302 as well. Definitely makes a big difference. Take your time lining up that front clip, it doesn't really match up as well as it should....

Hotrod 97
Made some more progress today. I got the engine re-primed (I had painted it but stripped the paint off since it didn't come out too good), the exhaust tips and fan painted, and I brushed some Pledge Revive It on the seats to give them a "polished" leather look. Hotrod 97
Got half of the interior detailed, started detailing the chassis, got the dash painted, and got some more parts sanded and ready for primer.
Hotrod 97
Got the interior coated with Pledge, the engine painted, dash coated with Pledge, and got the rest of the parts de-sprued and sanded. All the interior needs is the steering wheel and shifter, and then it'll be done.
Hotrod 97
Got almost all the parts in primer, the engine parts (minus the belts and pulleys) painted, the transmission painted, and I started assembly on the interior.
Deuces
Looking good! ☺️? That interior tub reminds me of the one in the Revell '69 Shelby GT-500 kit..... And the chassis also.... ☺️

Interestingly, I have a Revell ‘69 Shelby that I’m going to restore after I get this one Under Glass. As Charlie said, the Mach 1 and Shelby kits are pretty similar minus the body. Hotrod 97
Got the engine and interior done. I'll put the air filter on closer to final assembly. Next step: start painting the body. Edited October 2, 2019 by Hotrod 97 Removed extra picture

Depending on the base coat it may be lighter. I always thought it was a little odd Ford choose black decals on a dark blue car.

Hotrod 97
Yet again, this build is going slowly, but surely. I got some more parts primed, and finally got around to modifying the Boss 302 hood. Hopefully I can get to painting the body this weekend. I (very lightly) glued the mirrors to a piece of flat sprue to keep them in place while I prime and paint them. The gray primed hood is the modified Boss 302 hood, the bare plastic hood is from the original kit. Hotrod 97
I finally got around to getting the body painted. The color is Testors Arctic Blue Metallic over gray primer. Next step is to finish up painting the rest of the parts.

Hotrod 97
This build's been going slowly, but surely. Since the last update I got the gloss black on the hood painted, the engine set on the chassis, and most of the other parts painted and detailed. I also decided that I want to redo the interior, this time using decals from the Boss 302 kit for the woodgrain, so I stripped the paint off and got it reprimed.
