Love it.  I assume this is the trophy kit?

Yes.

My understanding is that this kit only came in one form, a single issue, was never re-popped and they were all molded in gold plastic.

I have never seen anything to suggest otherwise.

There were promo Dodges available in other colors.

I believe you're right about the glue kit being molded in gold, only.

No doubt that there were promos produced.

I was referring to the kit only.

As far as I know, this was the only 1965 Dodge Monaco kit ever produced.

OH MAN!
I built one in 66, candy green black top! long gone.

I have three of these I got in a parts bin, missing lots of parts!

I THINK I got what I needed from Modelhaus before they quit, not sure!
I really dig this model, UNUSUAL and you did an outstanding great job!

I was lucky enuff to find the same kit, and the Custom 880 convertible kit, both in pristine condition. Later on, I found a bunch of gluebombs in a '65 Monaco box. So, I have plenty options for when i get ready to tackle the gold plastic! LOL

I have one of these sitting in my stash that's been languishing for about 15 years. A VERY clean rebuilder with only the top painted and UNBROKEN pillars. Seems as though that was a weak spot for those as the kit aged. A lot of times if I see these on the 'Bay built, the pillars are busted.

Now when I'll get to building mine is anyone's guess........... ;)
