Snake45
A recent $10 Rite Aid rescue. The Snake-Fu on this one took only about 2 hours: Sand the tire treads, paint the Rally Wheels Model Master Steel, Silver Sharpie touch up around the backlight, and disassemble to white-spot the lens stems on the headlights, turn signals, taillights, and backup lights. I like this one a lot. The only thing I can find to complain about is that the Z/28 stripes don't terminate correctly at the glass ends, but it would be a HUGE amount of work to strip and repaint them, so I'm living with them. Also, the Cowl Induction hood is incorrect for a '68--it didn't become available until mid-'69. But I like the looks of it and don't object to it. Did I mention that I like this one a lot? randyc
Looks good. Cool that these cars can be fixed into nice replicas in just a little bit. Wish we still had Rite Aids. Walgreens has taken over every chain in our town and either renamed them or closed them completely.

Snake45
Thanks, all. I have a feeling you'll be seeing this one again, oh, around the first of September (assuming I'm still employed).

Well, I'm now in the sixth month of a 3-5 week temp gig. Nothing ominous on the horizon (they keep coming up with new stuff for me to do), but I assume nothing. I'm thankful every day I'm here. (My last temp gig started as 9 months and turned into 5 1/2 years.)
