Still not sure about the rear end of this car...... and although the stance appears to be correct from both sides, it does seem to be rather high when viewed from the rear. The build has been problematic throughout, and I am not entirely comfortable with what is nearly the end result....... bit of head scratching going on here...... As well as not being entirely happy with the result, I am not sure where to go next with the build. Rather than make a mess of things, and allowing some time and space for other aspects of the main project, I shall close off this topic at this stage..... thanks for looking, and surprisingly my original post did rack up over 1,000 replies. Its a lot of work to get these to look as good as an injection moulded plastic part. I think you still would have had your work cut out if you opted for the Airtrax one from Finland. I suspect many of us have built models of our first 1:1 cars. I loved reading about your tuned 105E - reminds my 1500 Mk1 Cortina. My first car, a 1947 Nash 600 sedan has been offered only as a HO scale train accessory so I am envious that you had something to work with in the first place. The resin caster for the Anglia 105E is a small company in West Yorkshire, somewhere near Halifax I think, and they listed Escort Mk I and MK II, Morris Minor 1000 saloon and Traveller bodies, Ford Consul MK II, Lotus Cortina 2-door, Mini and all sorts of stuff. I just tried to find the website address for you, but I cannot find it, so they may have gone out of business..... the website is a bit crude and clunky, which initially put me off, but the chap was okay to deal with, and his products are very interesting. I agree that maybe the Air Trax resin body from Finland would also need a fair amount of work, but I understand the quality is far superior to that of the Yorkshire caster...... which is reflected in the much higher price for the Air Trax one. He normally trades at the annual IPMS Scale Modelworld show at Telford in the UK each November. There is another guy named Ian Knott who with his dad Rod, displays the Model Motor Museum in Miniature around the UK who has recently developed a full resin kerbside kit of the Morris Minor saloon. I was aware of the Model Motor Museum in Miniature, which I think is an excellent display of a remarkable collection. This kit is fairly priced at £80.00 plus p&p, and I almost want to buy one! The Lotus Cortina MK1 is also very interesting and I wish there was a 4-door version too. My Dad owned a very nice blue 1963 Ford Cortina MK1 that was a 4-door, and after he taught me to drive in that car, I passed my driving test at the third attempt. But I don't know how to contact him now. It's good to see an anglebox again! A friend has just sold a rally/rallycross version that he used to race in the day! The 1960 Ford Anglia 105E that I used to own was a road car, but my second Anglia which was a 1959 car costing all of £15.00, was driven as a rally car in local Midlands rallies. I wasn't able to keep up with the Lotus Cortinas and the Escort twin-cams, but it was really fun driving all the same. The Anglia became stuck in a shallow river during one event, after I turned downstream at a ford instead of taking the road..... following my navigator's instructions! That was a plucky little car which unfortunately ended it's days when I drove into a railway bridge at 70 mph during a night rally event. The car was written off, and I spent 4 days in hospital in a coma. Came out of it without any lasting effects thankfully, apart from my stupidity, which still prevails!
