Testors Dullcote!   Yea, I'm really not a shiny guy!

When I do a shiny paint job, in most cases the paint itself gives off what I call the proper "in scale shine". In real life cars are not mirror shiny unless they are show cars.  The only times I will use a clear coat is when the color coat requires one, as I do use a lot of Duplicolor automotive paint.  For instance my recent 1950 Ford Jitney bus used a Duplicolor red that dried flat, as it was a two part color on the 1:1 car.  In that case I used Tamiya TS13 which comes out perfect every time!
