'72 Dodge shortbox

Recommended Posts

I put the Lincoln wagon aside for a bit and dug this off of the shelf.

Been picking at it for a few months...

Picked up a resin shortbox and tailgate (needed a not-insignificant amount of work!), as well as the oh-so cool '72 style grill a year or two ago and it's all going on a LRE kit. Done in Testors Root Beer and 2k clear.

I finally found a use for the awful, chunky tires that I seem to have too many of, and matched them with a set of Nascar rims for a bit of a street brawler look. Lowered the front end a good 3 or 4 scale inches and dropped the rear as well.

This is the first time I've mocked it up since the wheels were mounted.

Comments always welcome!

Sweet where did you get the sort bed from?

E-Bay. It needed a fair bit of work: warped, poor contours above the wheel openings, the front panel had to be cut off and re-positioned... but it was the only way to go if one wanted a short box at the time.
