DeNiro, Pacino, Pesci and Kietel. Long, episodic drama about various real life mobsters and Jimmy Hoffa. Very good, lots of neat old cars in various scenes. larman Posted December 1, 2019 I thought it was outstanding. At least as good as GoodFellas if not better. Everyone was great in it. Really thought Pesci did an especially nice job!
Belugawrx Posted December 1, 2019 I agree, well done movie..liked seeing Pesci back in film after a long time away. And yes the cars in the movie were awesome!
ChrisBcritter Posted December 2, 2019 Looks like they ruined a bunch of vintage Checkers per the IMCDb page: http://imcdb.org/movie_1302006-The-Irishman.html

restoman Posted December 2, 2019 Watched it last night. Very good. Loads of great acting and great cars. The green '72 Coronet and the brown '72-ish Valiant made it into a lot of scenes!
BaBaBooey Posted December 4, 2019 Just finished it tonight. Very good, like Goodfellas or better. Gonna be one of the movies I watch over and over again, like a lot my favorites. Kinda feelin a mob marathon. Godfather 1, 2, 3, Casino, Goodfellas and probably all seasons of The Sopranos.
Mike 1017 Posted December 7, 2019 Excellent. Did not like to see De Niro detreat into old age. Al Pacino was great. Was Hoffa a really a NUT Case?
Brutalform Posted December 10, 2019 Watched it when it first came out. I was really looking forward to seeing it since Bufalino was running stuff from nearby Pittston Pa. I remember seeing his name in the local papers all the time. The movie didn’t seem like it was 3 1/2 hours long though. Most likely because it was pretty interesting. tbill Posted December 10, 2019 Good flick, will for sure watch it again, will probably notice stuff I missed the first time. As mentioned, lot of great cars in it.

Roadrunner Posted October 22, 2020 I wasn't too impressed. I liked the Hoffa movie with Jack Nicholson, way better.
Mike999 Posted October 23, 2020 I tried to read the book and couldn't finish it, which is unusual for me. Reading it was sort of like sitting in an airplane on a long flight, with the old guy in the seat beside you yammering non-stop. It probably didn't help when I read something from one of The Irishman's accomplices: "The only thing Frank Sheeran ever killed was a bottle of wine." Still, movies are sometimes better than the book and I'll give it a shot, one of these days.
Snake45 Posted October 24, 2020 At one point I'd have been interested, but DeNiro has been such a jackwagon for the last couple years I have no further interest in seeing anything he's in.
Bugatti Fan Posted November 7, 2020 More seasoned modellers may remember 'Gene Kelly" being referred to as the Irishman. LOL
High octane Posted November 7, 2020 Yes I've seen the Irishman earlier today, however he has left the building since then.
