Pete J.
Was doing some research on a lotus Europa and found this photo of a real engine bay. If you wired up an engine bay like this on a model you would get hung from the nearest tree. Typical "Angry Spider" wiring technique!? Slick Shifter
Probably couldn't shorten the wires because he dint have one of them badass MSD terminal crimpers. They are worth the money. Looks like he had a little trouble figgering out how to cut the braided steel fuel line as well.
GLMFAA1
Hope he doesn't have a radio in the car, My recollection there was a suppression system like Corvettes, greg
espo
I think the reason for the shorter wires on the original Lotus was to eliminate any excess weight, something Mr. Chapmen was known for.

Only difference is the angle the pic was taken on makes it look like a couple of the wires are in a straighter line. I'm pretty sure they're all in a loop like the middle two. As far as the coil wire goes ,, well, it looks like it almost doesn't go all the way. Looks like it's pulled so tight that engine vibration will pull off one end or the other eventually. Nells250
I have learned through the years that any comment I make regarding keeping things stock/correct will be met with angry tirades... so I will not say "oh, so even Lotus owners will add brightly colored geegaws to their engine bays?". ? spike morelli
The ignition wires don't bother me really, however, using braided stainless hose with ordinary hose clamps on the carb's fuel lines should be re-thought brother.....
